The Center for Interpretation and Promotion of Vinho Verde continuing its monthly program of cinema and music, will be endorsing a movie session on 30th April at 3 pm but this time with the 2001 drama. O Estranho Caso de Angélica by director Manoel de Oliveira.

On a stormy night, Isaac (Ricardo Trepa), a young photographer and tenant of a modest guesthouse in the city of Régua, is called urgently to photograph Angelica (Pilar López de Ayala), a young woman from wealthy families who died on the day of her wedding. In the house of the bereaved family, Isaac comes across the almost supernatural beauty of the girl, and to his astonishment, the moment he looks through the lens, she seems to come alive and smile at him. That moment, both magical and terrifying, will irrevocably change the whole existence of the young man who, deeply in love will forever be persecuted by that vision and the ghost of Angelica.
