The gala evening was attended by, among about three hundred guests, the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Maria do Céu Antunes, and the councilor for Tourism and Internationalization at the Porto City Council, Catarina Santos Cunha. With a 35% increase in registrations compared to the previous year, the 2023 edition registered a record with around 300 samples in the competition, highlighting the growing trend of registrations of old vintages and an increase in the Alvarinho category.

"In this edition, we witnessed the appearance of new categories that reflect the evolution that is witnessed in the production of Vinho Verde. over time and which reveal themselves with an enormous potential for supply and demand", underlined Dora Simões, president of CVRVV.

The winners were grouped into 14 categories, with the Gold and Silver prizes being awarded to the first and second classified in each category and the Honor prizes to the remaining competitors with a score equal to or greater than 80 points, within the maximum limit of prizes to be awarded in the competition, that is, 30% compared to the total number of samples in competition. the winners Grand Gold Medal:
