The Municipality of Ponte de Lima marked the European Enotourism Day, which took place on the 8th of November, with a guided tour to the CIPVV – Center for Interpretation and Promotion of Vinho Verde.
In addition to the visit, a wine tasting was held in the wine tasting room, which was attended by 22 people. The test was conducted by Anselmo Mendes and wines from the municipality of Ponte de Lima were tasted, particularly from the Loureiro variety.
The European Day of Wine Tourism aims to showcase the patrimony of the region as well as the landscape, ecotourism, gastronomy and the artisans’ creativity.
It should be noted that the CIPVV, a regional project, will have as its main mission and contribution, the promoting of Vinho Verde through research and dissemination of a balanced heritage, creating infrastructures to support the routes and tourist itineraries associated with wine and vineyards in a dynamic way as well as the final product, in the perspective of its economic value.
