The Municipality of Ponte de Lima and TURIHAB - Association of Housing Tourism received last Friday a group of 69 Brazilian tour operators from Operator Schultz as part of a promotional campaign coordinated by Turismo de Portugal.
Presenting itself as the oldest village in Portugal, known for its magnificent and numerous plots, Ponte de Lima has excellent conditions to provide a quality stay to all who visit it.
Increasing the dissemination of our tourism offer in Brazil, showing the tourist the potential and the most emblematic places of the village were the main objectives of this action, which included the visit to the Center for Interpretation and Promotion of Vinho Verde - CIPVV, the Historic Center and, to the Paço de Calheiros. The program of the visit to Ponte de Lima included a lunch served by the students of the Cooking Course of the Professional School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ponte de Lima, made with endogenous products, as well as a taste of vinho verde, of the Loureiro variety of Ponte de Lima.
Enchanted with the natural beauty of Ponte de Lima, tour operators emphasized the preservation of the heritage, the museums on offer, and the quality of the local gastronomy and the appreciated Vinho Verde of the Loureiro variety, typical nectar of this region and unique product in the world!
Thus, Fam Trip of the Schultz Operator, which is one of the most solid tourism companies in Brazil, gathered 69 professionals from 34 different cities, distributed in 11 Brazilian states. The main target of this company in Portugal and Spain are the small groups transported in luxury vans. The chosen itinerary was 'Unforgettable Portugal' that passes through Ponte de Lima!
The group that integrates Brazilian journalists, who are reporting the day-to-day of the whole trip, promoting and publicizing the national tourist potentialities, was received by the Councilor of Tourism of the Ponte de Lima Municipality Council, Paulo Barreiro de Sousa, who highlighted Ponte de Lima as a "tourist destination of excellence in several segments, which continues to attract the attention of national and international tourism agents."
