The ITER VITIS is a Cultural Route of the Vineyard Paths in Europe, classified as Cultural Route of the European Council, whose main objective is the promotion of cultural heritage, historical and landscape associated with quality wine.

Recently, held in Ponte de Lima a working meeting between the Ponte de Lima Municipality, represented by the Tourism Councilor, Paulo Sousa, Secretary General of Iter Vitis Network, Emanuela Panke and the Secretary General of the Association of Portuguese Municipalities of wine, José Arruda. meeting held at The CIPVV - Green Wine Interpretation and Promotion Center, aimed to present the infrastructure and all the potential that gathers Ponte de Lima to host the headquarters of the Network Iter Vitis. It was agreed at the meeting to organize a "Congress Iter Vitis" which aims to bring together representatives of 18 countries that are part of this network, to be held in Ponte de Lima, on March 4, 2018.

Ponte de Lima intent aims to take advantage of the Way of St. James to the route Route Iter Vitis and the hostel of pilgrims would serve as the "Domus of Iter Vitis Network - Ways of The Vineyard." The goal requires the development of wine tourism through the promotion of cultural heritage, tangible and intangible, gastronomy and our territory associated with the vineyard and the wine.
