Four scenarios of unparalleled heritage and historical value stage the Loureiro variety over four days, in a festival that will pass through Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez, between 14 and 17 June. The public presentation of the event will take place tomorrow, April 13, at 5 pm at the CIPVV - Center for the Interpretation and Promotion of Vinho Verde in Ponte de Lima. The Vale do Lima Loureiro Festival invites you to enjoy a multisensory experience, where the soul of a region is revealed through its wines and gastronomy, accompanied by eclectic musical proposals, from classical music to fado, passing through the songs of world. This itinerant festival showcases the wine and food potential of the Loureiro variety, through an exhibition and four wine pairings, with surprising dialogues between renowned chefs, winemakers and sommeliers who will present showcooking demonstrations, inspired by local products and traditional cuisine, combined with wine tasting. This multidimensional program will highlight the most diverse expressions of this variety, thanks to the commitment of around 40 producers and enologists who, for more than a decade, have been demonstrating its immense potential and who are now grouped around the brand "Loureiro, a variety, an entire valley.” This is also an invitation to visit the territory of the Lima Valley, aiming to open new paths to wine tourism, based on the identity and heritage of the four municipalities that comprise it.Wine invites you to celebrate and share good times. It is the motto for friends to get together, the ideal pretext for escaping from everyday life, the best guideline for the multisensory discovery of a terroir, in the path of the intricate complex that makes each wine region unique, between nature, landscape, history and culture. "Festival do Loureiro do Vale do Lima" is promoted by ADRIL, in partnership with the four Municipalities of Vale do Lima, under the cooperation project "From Vale do Lima to Vale do Paraíba", supported under measure 10.3.1 – interterritorial and transnational cooperation of the Local Action Groups, of the PDR - Rural Development Plan, and co-financed by FEADER, within the scope of Portugal 2020.
