The 26th Feast of Vinho Verde and the Regional Products of Ponte de Lima officially opens next Friday, the 10th of June, at 5pm, with the presence of the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Food, Luís Medeiros Vieira.

A true leverage for the promotion and dissemination of the best that the rural world has to offer, the Festival of Vinho Verde and the Regional Products of Ponte de Lima aims to be a showcase of the dynamics of the wine sector and wine tourism.

In an organization of the Municipality of Ponte de Lima in partnership with the Vocational School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ponte de Lima, the 26th Festival of Vinho Verde and Regional Products of Ponte de Lima will present a set of actions for the professionals of the gastronomy and wine sectors. In this way, the organization strengthens the bet on the event aimed at different audiences, from professionals in the wine sector, to young entrepreneurs and the public in general.

As Vinho Verde is one of the products of excellence of the rural world and with great economic and social expression in this region, this event aims to affirm the famous Vinho Verde and the peculiarity of regional cuisine as one of the main attractions of what is the oldest village of Portugal, allied to the vast estate and environmental patrimony.

The Regional Championship of Education, which aims to stimulate and promote equestrian sports, wine tastings, the XIV Wine Competition, showcookings, workshops, crème brulée contests, musical animation and the Aurea concert on Saturday from ten o’clock, are part of the program of this 26th Feast of Vinho Verde and the Regional Products of Ponte de Lima, with free admission and free parking.
