VINHO VERDE INTERPRETATION AND PROMOTION CENTER WINS AWARD AT THE BEST OF WINE TOURISM AWARDS 2018

VINHO VERDE INTERPRETATION AND PROMOTION CENTER WINS AWARD AT THE BEST OF WINE TOURISM AWARDS 2018 The Vinho Verde Interpretation and Promotion Center (CIPVV), based in Ponte de Lima, has just won a prize in the prestigious contest Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2018.
The Vinho Verde Interpretation and Promotion Center (CIPVV), based in Ponte de Lima, has just won a prize in the prestigious contest Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2018.

It is an annual international competition awarded by the Global Network of Great Wine, which is intended to reward excellence and best practices in wine tourism in seven different categories.

By decision of the jury assigned to the Douro, Porto and Vinho Verde, Vinho Verde Interpretation and Promotion Center was the winner in the category Art and Culture.

It is also present the winners of the other categories:

Accommodation: Carmo's Boutique Hotel;

Restaurants vinyl: Restaurant Pier Villa;

Architecture and Landscape: River House - Quinta do Vallado;

Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences in: Caves Calém;

Wine tourism services: Cooltour Oporto; Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices: Monverde Wine Experience Hotel.

Among these winners will also be named a Global winner, by decision of the International Jury of Awards Best Of Wine Tourism  to meet next month of November in Valparaiso - Chile, as part of the Annual General Meeting of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network.

The mission of Vinho Verde Interpretation and Promotion Center is to promote research of asset backed dynamically, promoting green wine associated with its terroir as a product of excellence. The objectives of this space undergo start several research projects in the context of the history of the Vinho Verde region; involving producers and other economic agents in the dissemination of green wine as the only product in the world and of high quality; reach the Portuguese and foreign public stating the excellence of the product; and promote in the media knowledge of the region and the Vinho Verde.
